Hello and welcome to Ovacome! Ovarian cancer affects 1 in71 women of all ages. Tragically, our state of Florida has the second highest incidence and mortality rate for Ovarian Cancer in the United States. Unfortunately, 75% to 80% are diagnosed in advanced stages greatly limiting life expectancy. This statistic has not changed in 20 years. This statistic can only change through improved funding for Ovarian Cancer Research and the education of women and physicians about the risks and subtle symptoms of ovarian cancer. As a non-profit, charitable organization, affiliated with the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance, we will raise funds, encourage discussion, promote scientifically valid research, print and distribute informative material, provide hope and support and promote health to improve an understanding of the subtle symptoms of Ovarian Cancer in order to reduce the number of deaths from this dreadful disease. Ovacome is sincerely grateful to the donors and our sponsors for assisting us in attaining our goals in the Tampa Bay Community. Ovacome’s goal is to raise funds to provide direct support and assistance to Ovarian and other gynecologic cancer patients and their families throughout Tampa Bay. Additionally, we will continue to convey our message through our strong awareness campaigns and other programs. We need you to fulfill our mission and can only continue this work with your support!
